A Long History

No, I’m not going to give you a massive history lesson on the origins and successes of the Reading Festival in the UK, as you may have suspected from the title of the article. Instead, I’m going to go over just how popular this event is, and why so many hundreds of thousands of people turn up each and every year in order to take part in this incredible festival. Indeed, the event started way back in the 1960’s, and boy have there been a number of controversies plaguing past events. Somehow though, the organizers have persisted through those troubling times, to create what is known today as the best and most successful music event in the UK - and possibly even the world.

Every August, people flock from far and wide to take part in the multiple day event. If you don’t already know, the Reading Festival lineup sports one of the most star-studded lists of all time. It is for that reason that you really should prepare to buy Reading Festival tickets in advance of the event. The other reason for this is that sales of tickets at the door has actually been banned this year - and hence, if you turn up with no ticket in your hand, you will be promptly turned away again - something you really don’t want to happen.
